OUR AIMS

At Wild Beginnings, our aim is to allow children to play, learn and foster a love of nature and the outdoor environment in a safe, secure and hands on way. Sessions will facilitate opportunities for children to explore, play and learn about the forest habitat. Activities are often instigated by the children themselves; child-led learning is a principle that sits dear to our heart. The main purpose is to give the children as many opportunities as possible to build their skills of independence, communication, develop their self esteem and allow them to grow when working as a team. On top of these benefits, it will also give them great chances to connect with nature and will teach the children about caring for, managing and connecting to the natural world.

A MESSAGE FROM

OUR FOUNDER

‘Learning is a process you do, not one that is done to you.’ This is a theory that I passionately believe in. My name is Gabby and after 13 years as a primary school teacher, 5 years as a Forest School Practitioner and five years of being a mum I have finally taken the plunge into the world of education I wholeheartedly believe in; giving children the freedom to learn through play. Emotional Intelligence is integral to successful happy lives. Wild Beginnings represents my passion and belief that building relationships between others and the environment sits at the heart of happiness and well being. Through our sessions, we aim to encourage and develop an interest in nature from a young age; having lots of fun along the way. Getting muddy, exploring and moments of awe and wonder await. Wild beginnings start with wild adventures
